The 'Blue Economy' is an idea whose time has come, and now it's coming to the Mendocino Coast. A collective of government and non-government agencies and nonprofits have collaborated to launch a study with the goal of applying Blue Economy principles in Fort Bragg's Noyo Harbor. Innovations that promise to protect the resiliency of the ocean while revitalizing the economy of the iconic fishing village will inject new energy for a better future for local fisherfolk, the town, the county, the state, and—best of all—the entire planet.
