NorCoast Rodders Classic Car Show
June 18 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
A special highlight of summer is when a gazillion classic car fanatics arrive in Fort Bragg to take over the center of town on Franklin and Laurel Streets where they park an enormous, eye-popping array of spectacularly preserved antique cars. From utilitarian Model Ts to sensuously bulbous Hudson Hornets, from T-Birds with portholes to low-slung Corvettes, from Pontiacs to Studebakers to Cadillacs, and way, way beyond, be dazzled by the creativity in form and function that preceded the Prius and the Tesla. Take the kids to show them what real cars looked like. Shoot the breeze with guys who started tearing carburetors apart and reassembling them when they were fourteen, and never stopped. Marvel at the impeccable V-8s, perfectly restored interiors, and impossibly glitzy metal fleck paint jobs. Try some of the best hot dogs ever, fixed for you by Mike Mihos and car club helpers. A portion of the proceeds go to Mendocino Coast Children’s Fund. Also, there is such a thing as a free…Cookie! Members of MCCF’s board will be there, giving away cookies (but a donation to help this awesome organization help the coast’s most vulnerable kids is greatly needed and appreciated!). www.norcoastrodders.com
